Welcome to the Family Support Network (FSN) Southeast Region. The FSN was started 8 years ago by the Family Support Council (FSC). The FSN is state wide. There are six regions, each with a regional coordinator and parent’s group.
The Network is a partnership of parents and professionals across CT. dedicated to supporting families who are raising children with a disability.
We offer one to one support, speakers, trainings and workshops so families can get the information they need. We provide links to resources and agencies that can provide services. We help families find a voice in policymaking.- Get as involved as you want.
- Come to our monthly meeting
- Attend one of our workshops or a legislative event and meet your state and local policymaker.
- Get on our informational list serve (e-mail list) and receive answers to your questions, information and notices about events.
We meet the first Wednesday of the month at 6pm at L&M Hospital, unless there is a special event that month. Meeting notices are sent out on the list serve.
- November 5, 2008 Parent Support Group Meeting
The CT Family Support Network-Parents Support Group will meet, Wednesday November 5th at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital New London, CT, at 6pm. The group offers support and information for parents who are raising children with a disability. This month’s topic for discussion will be “Independent Educational Evaluations IEE’s. The presentation will answer the following questions: What is an Outside Evaluation or IEE? Why would I want one for my child? How do I choose an Independent Evaluator? Who Pays for it, School, Insurance, me? New people are always welcome.
