			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The CT Family Support Network will start its 2008-2009 season beginning Wednesday September 3rd at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital New London, CT. We will meet in conference room #3, at 6pm. The group offers support and information for parents who are raising children with a disability.  Parents will meet other parents, share frustrations, and learn about solutions.  The September meeting will be an open discussion of parent’s needs and available resources both local and state wide. <p>     Welcome to the Family Support Network (FSN) Southeast Region.  The FSN was started 8 years ago by the Family Support Council (FSC).  The FSN is state wide. There are six regions, each with a regional coordinator and parent’s group.<br />
The Network is a partnership of parents and professionals across CT. dedicated to supporting families who are raising children with a disability.<br />
     We offer one to one support, speakers, trainings and workshops so families can get the information they need.  We provide links to resources and agencies that can provide services.  We help families find a voice in policymaking.</p>
<ul>
<li>Get as involved as you want.</li>
<li>Come to our monthly meeting</li>
<li>Attend one of our workshops or a legislative event and meet your state and local policymaker.</li>
<li>Get on our informational list serve (e-mail list) and receive answers to your questions, information and notices about events. </li>
</ul>
<p>We meet the first Wednesday of the month at 6pm at L&amp;M Hospital, unless there is a special event that month.  Meeting notices are sent out on the list serve.<br />
